Crisis in Ukraine and Haarla operations

1st of March, 2022, Haarla News

We are all shocked and saddened by the situation in Ukraine.  Our team is carefully monitoring all the information available and actively preparing for all possible scenarios. This is the operational status quo for now:

  • No critical raw materials are currently purchased from Russia. In urgent situations, Haarla has secondary sources available.
  • Prices on fossil based raw materials will probably rise to new highs – we are monitoring them and will keep our customers informed.
  • Oilseeds’ prices will rise as Ukraine and Russia are large exporters of such materials as rapeseed and sunflower.
  • Also, the prices of both wheat and corn will be affected, as Russia and Ukraine are currently one of the biggest exporters of these products.

Our main task in this uncertain situation is to secure our customers’ supply.
We do our utmost to maintain operational integrity, and we are focusing on good communication with all our business partners.

In case of any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Haarla Experts. Together we are stronger.

With kind regards,
Haarla Team
