The product series designed for measuring gas in protective packaging has been updated. These improvements ensure, among other things, more efficient sampling.
Measuring the gas composition inside food packaging with modified atmosphere is crucial for determining product eligibility and shelf life. Testing technology must be efficient to determine the gas composition reliably and ensure compliance with regulations.
The technology used in the widely adopted Dansensor® CheckMate series for testing modified atmosphere packaging has been improved. The new features of the CheckMate 4, the successor to the CheckMate 3 series, allow for even more precise, efficient and faster gas composition measurements in modified atmosphere packaging. Additionally, the user interface has been redesigned to enhance ease of use.
Dansensor® CheckMate 4 - Same technology, more efficiency
The innovations in the new equipment series offer significant benefits for production lines and product development. These advancements enable more efficient and reliable analysis of the gas composition in products.
The sampling capability of the new devices has been optimized to the point where less is more: the response time of the sensors measuring oxygen and carbon dioxide is faster, and the device requires a smaller sample volume to produce an accurate reading. The devices also simplify the testing process, as the improved design of the sampling system and pump reduces the risk of clogging and increases operational reliability.
Customization and reliability
The Dansensor® CheckMate 4 devices supplied by Haarla can still be customized for different needs. Product-specific settings, such as gas concentration threshold alerts, can be defined. In addition to the device measuring both oxygen and carbon dioxide, we also offer a model for only measuring oxygen. The collected data can be transferred in real time and utilized for various purposes, such as product and packaging technology development.
Traditional annual maintenance and calibration at a service center may no longer be necessary, as the sensor module requiring maintenance and calibration in the new series can be replaced on-site. Because of this, Haarla offers a new maintenance contract option. Under this agreement, a serviced and calibrated sensor module can be sent to users, which the customer can replace themselves on-site. This prevents testing operations from being interrupted for maintenance.
